Permaculture was my way of being, before I knew the word. I've always seen nature as our best teacher, demonstrating how connection and cooperation are the key to creating resiliency and abundance. I completed my online PDC with Verge Permaculture in Fall 2020 and joined the board of Permaculture Calgary Guild in Spring 2021. I am passionate about building collaborative community partnerships with like-hearted organizations. I also love growing … both in the garden and my skills. In the last couple years, I've been fortunate to learn from many seasoned experts in our community and have experimented with growing culinary mushrooms, milking goats, making natural cheeses & yoghurt, sourdough breads and my own chocolate. If you have any ideas on how the PCG can best support our local community, I would love to hear from you.

I've had a life-long love of plants that started in my grandparents' garden. I began gardening in 2000 with herbs in containers, namely calendula. In 2010 I was introduced to permaculture principles and have been passionate about them ever since. I completed my Permaculture Design Certificate in 2023 through Verge Permaculture with additional masterclasses in Rainwater Harvesting and Passive Solar Greenhouse Design. My engineering degree and my experience in design (silversmithing, makeup artistry, and instructional design) work well together. Through my PDC and this wonderful community I've found hope and I'm here to share that with you!

Curiosity about ecology and resource constraints lead me to permaculture in 2020 and I have been hooked ever since. I took a permaculture design course in 2021 and changed careers to the evaluation of energy efficiency for buildings. I joined the Permaculture Calgary Guild board as secretary in the spring of 2024. In my spare time I enjoy reading, drawing and crafting. I looking forward to working with others interested in regenerating land and living sustainably.
