SUMMARY:EnVision 2016: Vision Board and Intention Setting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:What intentions do you hold for 2016? \nAfter an eventful and often tumultuous 2015\, many of us are still catching our breath\, regrouping\, and making new plans for 2016. Following the lunar calendar\, the New Year will truly come in to full force February. The entire month of January is a fitting time for reflecting on the year that has passed\, and setting intentions and making plans for moving forward. \nWhat personal health and wellness goals do you aspire toward?  \nHow can you participate more fully in personal and community regeneration?  \nOn the last day of January\, we offer you an opportunity to join in community in order to set strong intentions through the creation of a Vision Board. \nFollowing an introduction and guided meditation\, it will be time to get creative! Using images from magazines\, photos and other personal objects\, you will have a chance to make a vision board – a visual expression of your intentions and goals for 2016. \nWHAT: Workshop includes: guided meditation\, instruction on creating a vision board and the opportunity to participate in a creative exercise in community. Some craft supplies will be provided (i.e. magazines\, glue\, tape). Please bring any other personal supplies. \nLight refreshments (coffee & tea) provided. Her varied career has included involvement in climate change communications\, waste and recycling education\, permaculture and placemaking\, and youth environmental leadership. She is the founding director of the Meaningful Work Project\, focused on offering educational programs to guide participants on the quest for work of service to people and the planet. In the past year\, she has been studying with Dr. Beth Hedva in a year-long leadership program\, the Certificate in Embodied Awareness. Please visit http://www.MeaningfulWorkProject.ca to find out more. \nMelinda Devine has nearly 15 years experience working nationally and internationally as a Primary Care Paramedic in multiple fields and disciplines\, such as a on-the-ground medical team deployed immediately after the 2010 large-scale earthquake in Haiti. She teaches EMS courses\, volunteers as Team Lead for local Calgary Disaster Management – (Red Cross PDAT)\, and facilitates a variety of workshops\, including anti-bullying and wellness. Driven by her passion for serving her community and invoking people to find their passion to live a fulfilling life.
