Movie Night – Green Sanctuary

The Green Sanctuary Committee presents the first film in its 2016-1017 series,
“The Antarctica Challenge” Friday, November 4th in Wickenden hall.

Dessert potluck and coffee at 6:30 pm, film at 7:00 pm.

The film attempts to piece together the mountains of evidence which suggest that warming temperatures and rising sea levels have not only changed the face of the icy continent, but threaten life and land all across the world. Throughout the documentary, one feels as inspired by its breathtaking cinematography as by its message that we can still make a difference; as the title implies, the film portrays global warming not as an inevitable end for humanity but instead as our species’ next great challenge.
